“But I don’t have the time, energy, nor money to focus on my mental health,” countless say. Yet, for all of us, making mental health a priority is key. Author Jenni Schaefer, a Senior Fellow with The Meadows, knows this from her personal experience with an eating disorder, depression, anxiety, and PTSD. In Twelve Step meetings, people often say:

Anything you put before your recovery, you will lose.
Jenni will discuss this important topic with renowned clinician Jean Collins, Executive Director of the Rio Retreat Center at The Meadows. Jean is licensed as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Substance Abuse Counselor (LISAC) and is also a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT). With over 20 years of experience, Jean is a wealth of information, strength and, importantly, hope!

Jean and Jenni will discuss key nuggets of wisdom from Rio Retreats, covering topics like eating disorders, trauma, and learning how to thrive in life. Join us for this interactive Facebook Live event on Wednesday, May 29 (4 pm Pacific/6 pm Central) on The Meadows Ranch Facebook page. Make sure to bring your questions!

This Facebook Live is in conjunction with World Eating Disorders Action Day, a monumental movement happening across the globe on June 2. Learn how to get involved. The World ED Day theme, “Eating Disorders Can’t Afford To Wait,” is what inspired our Facebook Live topic.
